Kung Fu for Adults

It's never too late to start Kung Fu! Beginners will find that our instructors and students are more than willing to help you in class. You are encouraged to push yourself as far as you can, but always within your physical ability and fitness level.

Practitioners will enjoy the physical demands of class, while enhancing their knowledge of martial arts.

Students learn the Long Fist and White Crane styles, and Qín Ná (Chin Na 擒拿) techniques.

The focus of each class varies greatly and includes: leg work (stances, kicks, jumps), hand forms (blocks and strikes), applications of techniques, Chin Na, pad work, and more.

The Yang's Martial Arts Association (YMAA) ranking system has 10 stripes. A student earns the '"Assistant Instructor" rank at the 6th stripe and "Instructor" rank at the 10th stripe. The curriculum includes: Bare hand and Weapons Sequences, Two Person Sets, Qin Na, Short Defense (a.k.a. Takedowns or Shuāijiāo 摔跤), Defense Against Weapons, Sparring Techniques, and more.
