Personal Training

The purpose of a personal trainer:

Whether you are new to a gym or a seasoned gym rat, you can benefit from working with a trainer. As a beginner, a trainer can help motivate you, teach you how to safely and effective use exercise machines, and help you develop a workout program that matches your abilities and goals. If you are already accustomed to working out in a gym or are training for a particular event, a trainer can help you build endurance, avoid boredom and enhance your current workout to achieve your specific goal. Trainers are also beneficial if you are recovering from an injury.

What to look for in a trainer:

Hiring a trainer is a little like choosing a spouse. Your number one priority should be compatability.

All of our trainers at Yang’s are nationally certified and many hold degrees in Exercise Science or related fields.

Our trainers are willing to help you achieve your health and fitness goals, posses broad skills and knowledge of exercise, will be attentive to your needs and will assess your progress on a regular basis to ensure you are on the right track.

How do I meet with a trainer:

Scheduling a meeting with a trainer is as easy as picking up the phone. An initial consult with a trainer is free of charge. Please use this time to find out if you and the trainer are compatible, and can work towards your goals.

To schedule a consult, call 978.475.2020.

Length of training sessions and commitment:

Our trainers are committed to helping you achieve your goals. Training sessions can range from 30, 45 to 60 minutes and can be held one-on-one (aka Personal Training), with a buddy (Buddy Training which is 2 participants with 1 trainer) or in a small group (2 to 5 participants per group to 1 trainer).

Rates vary depending upon the number of participants.

Yang’s offers training to both members and non-members.

Let our trainers help you adopt and maintain a healthy and fit lifestyle.

For more info or to setup a consult please call us at (978)-475-2020 and ask for Alex or Diana.

Dan

Dan Michelinie (New)
Dan an Andover native, is an ACE (American Council on Exercise) certified personal trainer and has been a fitness enthusiast since 1998. In fact, this gym is where Dan’s passion for fitness first started. Having played lacrosse in both high school and college, Dan highly values the benefits of strength training for athletes. While living in San Diego after college, Dan’s love of fitness grew as he trained for his first bodybuilding competition in 2006. He has competed several times on the amateur stage, most recently in July, taking 2nd place in the Europa Tournament of Champions in the Novice Class. Dan enjoys working with serious athletes (past, present or future) who have the drive to make improvements to their fitness level. He highly values determination and motivation and truly believes that anyone can make a positive change to his/her level of fitness if they posses those qualities. Dan’s passion for training is only second to his love for his family. He is a proud father and husband and is anxiously awaiting the arrival of his second daughter in January.
