Nutrition
There are many benefits to nutritional counseling including a decrease in symptoms of disease, increased energy, weight loss and improved sleep. Nutritional counseling can help those who:
- Have questions about their diet
- Aren’t sure what to eat and when
- Need meal and snack ideas to fuel their workouts
- Are working through an eating disorder
- Are wondering about the best foods to eat to improve performance
- Have food allergies
- Are working on weight management and healthy habits
All clients will complete a self-reported nutrition form before meeting with the registered dietitian. This form contains basic information such as diagnosis, current medications, height, weight and food diary. Clients then meet with the registered dietitian, complete a nutrition assessment and develop a plan of care based on their individual needs. The initial nutritional counseling session lasts approximately 60 minutes.
